Dcat Restartor is a freeware application that monitors the computer checking what processes are active and comparing them to a list of process that has previously been chosen to determine if that process is active or not.
If a chosen process is found not to be active Dcat Restartor can restart that process. A unique feature to Dcat Restartor is that the program can terminate and restart a process based on total network traffic. The program can also restart a process if the monitored process open a window such as a error dialog message.
Dcat Restartor can be set to automatically start when the operating starts and then in turn start all the processes that the user has previously chosen. The priority of Dcat Restartor can be changed within the program so that Dcat Restartor uses more of the CPU time on a CPU intensive computer.
Dcat Restartor is useful for restarting programs such as surveillance software after a system crash/restart
Dcat Restartor should be considered a work in progress. There are several functions and improvemnets that will be add in future realeses. Package A contains DRS with all required files. Whie Package B contains the Latest Build. Download and install Package A before installing Package B.

| Visual Basic Runtime Dcat Restartor is coded in Visual Basic 6 and requires the VB runtime module to be installed on the target system. This module will be installed by the Dcat RS installer if required. The module can also be downloaded from here. |
Microsoft Installer Engine (MSI) Dcat Screen Saver is installed by the Install Shield program which uses the MSI engine. The MSI engine ships with Windows XP. DRS Package A will install the MSI engine if required. The MSI engine may be downloaded from here and installed. |
